Billboard Music Awards 2012 Highlights: From Head Turners to Superb Performances [PHOTOS and VIDEOS]

It is the time of the year when the biggest and hottest artists were gathered in one place to honor those who topped the charts.

The stars lined up the red carpet to show off their suits and dresses. Avant garde dresser Amber Rose managed to make heads turn her way when she showed up in a white strapless dress that showed more than what it should. Country singers Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood stole the scene with their sexy and sultry looks. Former Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus turned the heads of many in a wrong way when she showed up in an oversized suit with shoulder pads. Usher and John Legend looked like they went to the same stylist. The former donned a teal suit and John went for a geeky get up.

This year's Billboard Awards is definitely one of the most successful award shows. Billboard Awards 2012 is hosted by Modern Family couple Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event was kicked off by a booming and groovy performance by LMFAO who won six awards for Hot 100 Song of the Year ("Party Rock Anthem") and for Top Duo/Group, beating out Maroon 5 and Lady Antebellum.
